About Us

LeeAnne Lowrance started A Place Called Home to provide seniors and disabled adults reliable, professional care in the comfort of their own home. “My grandparents are facing the challenges of aging in place and, like most seniors, they want to stay in their own homes,” said LeeAnne.

Often the adult children of seniors work and are “sandwiched” between caring for their own children living at home and their aging parents. Personally overseeing the day-to-day care of a parent or other older loved one can become a real emotional and financial challenge, particularly over the long distances common in our mobile society.

A Place Called Home began when a licensed nursing home administrator and masters level social worker with a background in public health and health care administration, decided the best care they can offer older adults is top-quality, dependable home care which allows the client to successfully age in place.

A Place Called Home employs carefully-screened professional caregivers to help older and disabled adults with such daily activities as bathing, dressing, preparing meals, running errands and appointments, medication reminders, and to provide compassionate companionship to ease loneliness and isolation. Professional caregivers allow the family to enjoy one another’s company without the awkwardness of the adult/child role reversal.
